The Golden Bird

for children and young people with disabilities.

 

From February 1, 2015 in Vinnitsa, the selection stage of the All-Ukrainian song festival-competition "Golden Bird" for children and youth with disabilities, organized by the public organization "Center for Cultural Strategy - XXI" and Cultural Center "Gallery - XXI" with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The foreign partner of the festival-competition is the PRO OMNIBUS Foundation for Initiatives for People with Disabilities (Poland).

The festival competition is open to anyone with disabilities who have a talent for singing, ages 10 to 27 years.

The festival-competition will be held in two stages:

Selection (February 1 - March 31, 2015), at which stage everyone will send acapella singing and the jury will select the best by listening;
final (May 15-17, 2015) in Vinnytsia, where the most talented will be determined by a professional jury through a professional jury.
Without exception, all participants of the final stage of the festival-competition will be awarded diplomas and valuable gifts, the winner of the Grand Prix will be invited by the Polish partner to participate in the annual song festival for young people with disabilities "Czech Chechnya creative meetings" in Poland.

All-Ukrainian Song Festival Competition

The Golden Bird

for children and young people with disabilities

 

            May 16-17, 2015 in Vinnitsa hosted the All-Ukrainian song festival-competition "Golden Bird" for children and young people with disabilities.

The founders and organizers of the Festival-Contest were the NGO "Center for Cultural Strategy - XXI" and the Regional Center for Contemporary Art "Art-chic" with the full support of the Department of Culture of Vinnytsia City Council. This social project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, several Charities of Ukraine and the Foundation for Initiatives for People with Disabilities "PRO OMNIBUS" of the Republic of Poland.

19 contestants took part in the Festival-competition in two age categories: 10-16 years, 17-27 years (10 and 9 people in each age category respectively) from different regions of Ukraine, including Odessa and oblast, Volyn, Rivne region, Uzhgorod , Kharkiv and region, Kyiv, Vinnytsia and region.

The festival competition itself took place on May 16, 2015 at the Vinnytsia School of Culture and Arts. On May 17, 2015, a gala concert and awarding of winners was held at the Vinnytsia Regional Ukrainian Academic Musical and Drama Theater named after MK Sadovsky.

As a result of intense vocal competition, fifteen-year-old Margarita Frolov from Borky, Kharkiv region, won the Grand Prix. The first places in the younger age and the senior age categories were won by twelve-year-old Svetlana Besyadovsk from Vinnitsa and twenty-seven Ulyana Kastran from Uzhgorod, respectively. Second place went to Ivan Perodov, 15, Kharkiv and Mariam Kamara, 22, Vinnitsa. Third - Vera Nemkova, 12, Kyiv and Lilia Kruchik, 16, Yarevishche, Volyn region.

The Grand Prix winner received a cash prize of 15 thousand hryvnias, winners in the age categories of 10 thousand hryvnias. In addition, all three will represent Ukraine at the 19th International Song Festival for Young People with Disabilities, "Chechocin Creative Meetings", which will be held in July this year in Chechocinek, Poland. The relevant certificates and invitations from the organizers of this event, the PRO OMNIBUS Foundation for Initiatives for People with Disabilities, were presented by the President of the Foundation, Anna Laba Roshak, and the Director of the Foundation, Miroslav Sator.

Contestants who took second place received a cash prize of 7 thousand hryvnias each, third places - 5 thousand hryvnias. All others received cash prizes of UAH 3,000. In addition, the winner and prize places were awarded with valuable statuettes from the jewelry company "Diadem". All participants also received Diplomas, a book specially written for the festival by Vinnitsa Galina Hook, a Golden Bird book, gifts from an official government delegation from the Republic of Poland, flowers from the Fresh flower studio.

Honored Artist of Ukraine Iryna Shvets, Honored Artist of Ukraine Stanislav Gorodinskiy, Mokosha Folklore Group, Founders of BeatBox & Guitar Musical Culture Duet Flying Swan (Lugansk Oblast), exemplary choreographic studio of Nicki Vinnytsia lead by Olga Kalintseva, folk amateur dance ensemble "Yunost" and amateur band "Dream" of Vinnitsa College of National University of Food Technologies, violinist Vladislav Kravchenko from Talne Cherkasy which area.

The main sponsor of the Festival-Contest and the prize fund was TM RUTA, contributed to its filling PG "Vioil", Vinnitsa City Council, TM "Avis", NGO "Free Community".
